Business challenge:
CV evaluation is the most time-consuming part of recruiters` work. To understand whether the candidate has the necessary skills, sufficient education, and relevant experience, the recruiter has to go through every CV he gets for a vacancy. This results in long waiting times for job applicants, who can merely accept another offer while waiting. That was the case of our client, who wanted to expand his tech team and requested to design a CV matching software to relieve the manual burden of recruiters and optimize the hiring process.
Solution:
A CV matching software that screens the resumes and shortlists the most qualified candidates based on the vacancy and the client’s requirements. The system assesses whether the candidate’s background matches the relevant vacancy and whether their experience is sufficient. The candidate’s skills are also evaluated and compared with the ones mentioned in the job description.
Civil engineering documents categorization
Business challenge:
Civil engineering projects require a high degree of construction accuracy. Documentation ensures that all designs, calculations, materials, and processes are correct, reducing the risk of errors during construction. So, there was a need to create a civil engineering documents categorization system to ensure that all the documents related to a construction project are properly categorized and filed in a way that makes them easy to find and reference. First, it was important to automate categorization, therefore AI was the perfect solution for this task.
Solution:
Solve the need for manual categorization in existing infrastructure by adding the AI-powered categorization functionality. AI module evaluates categories for each document in a background mode without impacting the overall user experience. The user can observe and change the predicted categories if needed. After the documents are processed, the user gets a notification on the UI.
AI-powered pronunciation scoring for online education platform
Business challenge:
Online education platforms always compete for the users’ attention and do their best to provide the most unique service. One of the possibilities of winning the competition is adding some interactivity to the platform. For example, the user could reproduce the suggested phrase to assess whether he pronounces all phonemes in a word correctly. In addition, such services can indicate problem areas. That is, to evaluate the pronunciation of each sound and if an error has occurred, it will give a hint to eliminate such an error.
Solution:
A solution here was to create a microservice that has its own API interface and allows the client system to evaluate the user’s pronunciation. The pronunciation scoring service supports a cross-language architecture and is not dependent on the language used. IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) combined with ASR (Automatic speech recognition) provides this support.
Speaker Identification
Business challenge:
Speaker identification technology is becoming increasingly popular among lawyers around the world. Its ability to transcribe audio recordings from court meetings with an accuracy that rivals human transcriptionists makes this technology a game changer for legal companies. They find transcribing quite useful for private court hearings, as they can easily search for words, review, and analyze documents compared with relistening the audio again. However, what the legal companies lacked was a high-accuracy transcribing system.
Solution:
The AI team tested services with similar solutions to compare them with the proprietary ones. They created several scripts to automate the testing process. The results obtained during the experiment helped to develop recommendations for the next steps. The software engineers created an API for speaker recognition with identification that accepts audio data and returns a timeline with speech segments, speaker identifiers, and transcription.
