The idea was to create a platform that could serve as a talent management tool and an internal CRM system.
The e-commerce platform generates a quote based on the job requirements, received from the field service tool, vWork. From there, customers can choose their products or add additional ones, schedule installation, and pay for them fully online. The scheduling piece was quite complex and required analysis of the skillsets, resources, and timeline for the job. The e-commerce store relied on integrations with the existing technology stack within the business such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, vWork Field Service, and Xero.

The challenge
We initially faced the challenge of having only a concept with no clear direction on bringing it to life or where to begin. To address this, the development team initiated a comprehensive discovery phase. During this phase, they thoroughly analyzed the needs of potential users and explored various approaches to transform those needs into a viable business solution. Following the research, the software architect recommended the most suitable tools and technologies to develop the app effectively, aligning with the goals and objectives.
The solution
Engineers decided to develop the platform using PHP, with the Laravel framework chosen as the optimal solution due to its rapid application development capabilities, robust MVC architecture, advanced security features, and strong community support. Additionally, we incorporated Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, and MySQL for specific components to enhance the overall functionality and performance of the platform.
The impact
The RJ app has transformed the operation of Red Jumpers agency and its partners, offering a comprehensive platform beyond simple CRM functionalities. For partner companies, the app is a powerful tool for managing and streamlining their talent outsourcing process. By functioning as a CRM system, the platform enabled the team to manage client and partner information and track active requests.
